In essence 79.52 % of\u00a0 the surveyed electors which did represent the combined yes and no and informal vote , consciously or unconsciously , supported marriage – or sexual control and repression – while 20.48 % of the surveyed electors – the non respondents – did not\u00a0 so support marriage . The vote result would have been considered irrelevant and immaterial by its\u00a0 orchestrators\u00a0 providing over 50 % of electors lodged the form hence the emotive and heated 6 week lodgement prelude period . Two common English gaming expressions exemplify and explain this scenario<\/p>\n

Neither the Yes \u00a0or\u00a0 No advocates \u00a0for the Marriage Law Postal Survey\u00a0 of\u00a0 2017 achieved that so there exist\u00a0 no \u00a0mandate but a proper legal\u00a0 mandate\u00a0 on\u00a0 such\u00a0 an issue\u00a0 would \u00a0have required at\u00a0 least\u00a0 90 %\u00a0 total elector support<\/p>\n

Because\u00a0 the\u00a0 pre-survey\u00a0 legislation\u00a0 defined\u00a0 marriage\u00a0 as\u00a0 being\u00a0 between a woman\u00a0 and\u00a0 a man\u00a0 there\u00a0 did not exist\u00a0 reason for\u00a0 a\u00a0 NO\u00a0 survey\u00a0 form\u00a0 option\u00a0 other than\u00a0 provoking mass form lodgement . In\u00a0 a situation\u00a0 whereby\u00a0 YES\u00a0 \u00a0presented\u00a0 as\u00a0 the \u00a0only\u00a0 survey option\u00a0 then the \u00a0No \u00a0advocates \u00a0would \u00a0not\u00a0 have\u00a0 lodged\u00a0 the\u00a0 survey\u00a0 form \u00a0 thereby\u00a0 making\u00a0 the\u00a0 whole exercise\u00a0 a\u00a0 true\u00a0 survey\u00a0 of\u00a0 all \u00a0electors \u00a0rather \u00a0than it\u00a0 being a vote amongst\u00a0 an elector mix<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
