The\u00a0 main \u00a0hidden \u00a0agenda\u00a0 behind this\u00a0 unique\u00a0 bar\u00a0 coded\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">no\u00a0 secret\u00a0 ballot <\/span>exercise concerns\u00a0 the\u00a0 attempted\u00a0 obtainment\u00a0 of\u00a0 mass\u00a0 consent\u00a0 to\u00a0 reinforce\u00a0 the\u00a0 present marriage law ( primarily\u00a0 the\u00a0 legal\u00a0 definition\u00a0 of\u00a0 marriage ) \u00a0both \u00a0domestically\u00a0 and \u00a0world\u00a0 wide .\u00a0 Australia\u00a0 has\u00a0 adopted an\u00a0 English Common Law\u00a0 definition of marriage\u00a0 being\u00a0 &#8230;&#8230; the union of\u00a0 a man and a woman to the\u00a0 exclusion of\u00a0 all\u00a0 others\u00a0 ,\u00a0 voluntarily\u00a0 entered\u00a0 into for life &#8221; as per\u00a0 the\u00a0 Marriage\u00a0 Amendment\u00a0 Act\u00a0 2004\u00a0 ( Federal ) and\u00a0 thereby\u00a0 incorporated\u00a0 into\u00a0 the\u00a0 Marriage\u00a0 Act\u00a0 1961\u00a0 (\u00a0 Federal\u00a0 ) . This\u00a0 definition\u00a0 implies\u00a0 four\u00a0 ( 4 )\u00a0 main\u00a0 or\u00a0 prime elements for a\u00a0 legally\u00a0 valid\u00a0 marriage .
